High Chai: The Ultimate Cannabis-Infused Weed Tea Recipe

Hey there, hippies!

Today, I’m beyond excited to share with you a gem from my treasure chest of recipes: High Chai, also lovingly known as cannabis-infused tea.

This concoction is dear to my heart for a couple of stellar reasons: one, because there’s nothing quite like the spicy embrace of chai tea, and two, it’s an ingenious way to give new life to those leftovers from your last batch of cannabis coconut oil.

High Chai Tea

Now, let me share a slice of my life with you. On a day filled with the promise of relaxation, I found myself brewing a batch of High Chai in the sanctuary of my kitchen. The plan? To craft a concoction rich enough to share with friends over laughter and stories.

However, fate had other plans, and a flurry of last-minute cancellations left me with an abundance of chai and no one to enjoy it with. Rather than let this elixir of joy go to waste, I decided to freeze the chai in individual servings, wisely holding off on adding the coconut milk.

This little trick turned out to be a lifesaver, allowing me to preserve the magic of the moment for future gatherings. When the time came to reunite and share the chai, defrosting and adding the cream was all it took to bring back the warmth and camaraderie of shared high chai moments.

This experience taught me the art of flexible preparation and the joy of saving special concoctions for just the right occasion.

Tips and Tricks for High Chai Brew

Ever since High Chai became a staple in my culinary cannabis journey, I’ve fielded some curious queries about this brew.

  • How much High Chai is just right? Kick things off with a small teacup (think 1/4 cup) and adjust from there. It’s deceptively easy to overdo it with something this delicious.
  • Is it cool to use chai tea bags from the store? Definitely. If you’re not up for making chai from scratch, pre-made bags work wonders. Just brew and infuse with your cannabis concoction.
  • Will other milks work with this recipe? Yes! Dairy, almond, soy, oat – you name it. Just remember to watch the heat to avoid any culinary mishaps.
  • What about using tincture leftovers instead of oil? While you’re free to experiment, oil tends to blend better and offers a smoother taste.

Crafting Your High Chai Weed Tea

Ready to brew? Here’s how it’s done:

  1. Gather Your Spices: In a medium saucepan, combine:
  2. Bring to a Boil: Let it bubble over medium-high heat for 10-20 minutes.
  3. Turn Down the Heat: Shift to medium-low.
  4. Add the Green Magic: Make sure it’s decarbed cannabis.
  5. Steep and Soak: Let it steep for 10-15 minutes, infusing every drop with flavor and goodness.
  6. Cool and Compress: Once cool, squeeze out the cheesecloth bag to extract all the oily, tea-infused essence.
  7. Strain and Smooth: Remove all spices, then whisk in 1/4-1/2 Cup of your preferred Non-Dairy Milk. Full-fat coconut milk works wonders here.
  8. Emulsify: Whisk vigorously or use an immersion blender to achieve a dreamy, creamy consistency.
  9. Sweeten the Sip: Adjust the sweetness to your liking, giving it another whirl if needed.

Voilà! You’ve now got yourself a cup of High Chai that’s bound to warm you up and elevate your spirits.

I’m all ears (or eyes) for your thoughts, experiences, and any cosmic insights you glean from this brew. Drop a line in the comments and let’s keep the good vibes and great tastes rolling.

Cheers to our shared love for ‘high chai’, weed tea, and the vast universe of cannabis drinks! 🍵💚
