Weed Queso Sauce Recipe

Equipment

  • 1 Small saucepan
  • 1 Heavy saucepan
  • 1 Whisk

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 2 Tblsp Cannabutter
  • 1 Tblsp Regular butter
  • 2 cups Whole milk
  • 3 Tblsp All-purpose flour
  • 2 cups Grated sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup Grated pepper jack cheese
  • 1/2 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 ounces Cream cheese, room temp
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Ground black pepper
  • Cayenne pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Heat heavy cream and milk in small saucepan over low heat until warm and remove.
  • Melt the cannabutter and regular butter over medium-low heat in heavy saucepan.
  • Whisk in the flour until it resembles a wet sad. Cook for 2 more minutes, whisking consistently.
  • Whisk in half of the warm milk, stirring until flour lumps are gone and you have a nice smooth and creamy sauce.
  • Whisk the remaining warm milk, cook until the sauce thickens and coats the back of a spoon. (7-9 minutes)
  • Add the cheese (not the cream cheese yet) a half cup at a time, whisking until melted.
    Add the cream cheese a few cubes at a time and continue to whisk.
  • Season to taste with salt, pepper and cayenne.

Notes

Add some jalapenos or extra cayenne to the top to garnish and kick up the heat if you’d like
