Starter Infusion Kit Under $75

Everything you need to make your first batch of cannabutter, infused oil, or tincture at home — under $75 total, no machine required. This is the manual-method starter set: precision scale, oven thermometer, a couple of mason jars, a probe thermometer, cheesecloth, and syringes for clean dosing. We use every item on this list ourselves before reaching for any infuser.

What to make first

Once the kit arrives, run it through this exact order on a first batch — it's the lowest-risk path to a labeled, repeatable edible:

1. Decarb in a mason jar. Follow our decarboxylation guide — 240°F for 40 minutes, wide-mouth pint, finger-tight lid.
2. Make cannabutter or tincture. Use the cannabutter guide (slow cooker is the easiest first pass) or the tincture guide if you'd rather avoid the kitchen smell.
3. Calculate mg per serving. Plug your numbers into the edible dosage calculator and label the finished batch. Date + strain + estimated mg per tablespoon (or per ml for tincture).
4. Start with a microdose. 2.5 mg or less the first time, even if your math says you can handle more. The whole point of the kit is to know what you took.

What this kit doesn't cover

• Flower. Source separately — dispensary, legal home grow, or the sourcing guide if you're outside a legal market.
• Carrier ingredients. Butter, coconut oil, or Everclear depending on the method you pick.
• Potency testing. Lab-grade testers (tCheck and similar) start around $200+. Out of scope for a starter kit; revisit once you're batching every month.
• An infusion machine. Intentional — the whole point of this kit is to make your first batch without one.
