Welcome back, you groovy Earth Lovers and THC enthusiasts!
We’ve had some time to cook up our weed grilled cheese (and other thc sandwhiches) since we originally wrote this during quarentine, so we’ve made some updates.
The year 2020 might have been a bumpy ride, but it gave us the longest 420 ever.
Let’s take a little trip down memory lane and spice it up with some fresh content.
The Quarantine Munchies: A Recap
Remember when we were all stuck indoors, coping with the New Year resolutions we never followed through on? Good times. Keeping your fridge stocked was a challenge, but cheese and bread? C’mon, those are essentials!
Yes, we still use Amazon Fresh from time to time to ship our food. It isn’t as cheap as it once was, but I’m just as lazy as I was.
The “Weed Sandwich” Prep List
Before diving into this melty masterpiece, make sure you’ve got some cannabutter or cannabis coconut oil on hand.
If you’re new to the game, check out our basics of infused cannabis recipes to get started.
You’ll need a some cannafat for this recipe. We’ve used cannabis coconut oil and cannabutter and both work just fine.
The Struggles of a Perfect Weed Grilled Cheese
Ah, yes, cooking with cannabis isn’t as simple as slathering cannabutter on bread and hoping for the best. Here’s why:
Watch the Heat!
Cannabis is sensitive to heat, and cooking at high temperatures can degrade the THC, causing you to lose potency. Keep your eye on that stove dial!
The Perfect Pan
We prefer using a cast-iron skillet; it offers a better heat control and ensures your cannabis-infused butter won’t evaporate into thin air. However, a non-stick pan works just fine for all the beginners out there.
Special Cooking Instructions for Newbies
So you’ve never made a weed grilled cheese before? No worries, let’s break it down:
- Mix Your Butters: Combine regular butter with your cannabis butter or cannabis coconut oil. This is your magic spread.
- Low and Slow: Cook the sandwich at a low temperature to ensure you don’t burn off any of those precious cannabinoids.
- Flip, Don’t Flop: Flip your sandwich cautiously to ensure an even toast and even distribution of THC.
- Soup Pairing: Try pairing it with cannabis-infused tomato soup for a double whammy. But remember, it’s easy to go overboard, so keep track of your dosage!
For The Weed Sandwhich Rookies: Extra Tips
As your resident cannabis connoisseur, let me add: if you find that the sandwich isn’t delivering the high you anticipated, don’t despair.
There’s a good chance the THC content was too low. Next time, you might consider a higher concentration of cannabutter in your mix or adjusting the cooking temperature even more.
To Sum it Up
There you have it, the ultimate guide to making your very own THC sandwich, better known as the weed grilled cheese. Keep your eyes peeled and your stovetop on low, and you’re in for a treat.
And hey, if you mess up, it’s still a grilled cheese sandwich, and those are awesome regardless.
Stay groovy, and happy cooking! 🌿✌️
